Auto enhance and a vignette in Photoshop. I think it makes her skin too dark though.

beautiful!
I am very challenged with the coloring of skin with my 3 I have to be carelful with lots of the color pop actions because it will make J and C look orange... they are so tan being from Guatemala.

Love the photo -- think it looks great straight from the camera with no editing and love the b/w too. Good work!

I love it in B&W! I struggle with B&W it always looks too cold with me. Your B&W is not cold at all.
Have you tried the Soft light and Hard light setting in layers? They work pretty good for me(don't change skin tone too much) if it is a natural light shot.

So glad you started this blog! I have a Nikon D40 and am still learning so much. Hopefully I'll learn from you as well.

I think your pics are wonderful. I just started a photography class last night. For the next 6 weeks I have to leave my camera on "manual". I am a novice and can't use those nice and easy settings like portrait, landscape, sports, etc. Visions of aperture/f-stops and shutter speeds are dancing in my head :)

I think you are far from a novice!

I like your new blog! I don't know anything about photography except that I need to upgrade from a point and shoot camera. I look forward to learning from you!

You inspired me - I am taking a class too. When we were talking yesterday and I heard the excitement in your voice I was really inspired :D I have been loving my day workshops but I really want to a solid foundation in Photoshop. I signed up last night - and my class starts in October.

I am so excited for you...I have always wanted to take a class, but feel like I don't have the time....someday:)

I really like this photo and particularly love the vignette. Is photoshop difficult to learn??? I am so afraid to take on another task, but it is killing me not having it : ) Congrats on the new home. It is lovely.
