I woke Kate up this morning to adjust for the time change and brought her into bed for a snuggle. When she snuggled up to Dave, I just HAD to run downstairs, grab my camera, open the drapes and get some shots. Kate calls Dave "my Daddy."
I must admit that I am loving this 365 project. Even though somedays I feel totally uninspired, I realize that I will have a photo diary of our entire year. I plan to have a book made with one photo from everyday of our year. Some simple yet precious everyday moments like the one above, I would have never captured if it were not for this project.

As an aside, I have read that to re-set your internal clock with the time change, spend at least an hour (two is better) outside in the late afternoon today. We always take a family walk to a park or something and it really does the trick. I have done this since Will was an infant and they have always adjusted perfectly.

Soooo pretty..
I love love love this picture. You just can't beat moments like that and to have captured it is perfection!
Have a great Sunday!
I can imagine that photo on a table at her wedding! Such a beautiful moment captured. I love the idea of the book of all the photos. Thanks for the inspiration :)
I love this picture and think your book will be wonderful at the end of year. So smart to think ahead to what you will have. Even on those uninspired days you have something that captures a year in the life of your family.
Thanks for the tips on the time change. It was brutal getting out the door to church last night. Another friend shared this...change the clocks just after dinner so your children are reading the new time when you shuttling them off to bed. Worked for us and thankfully today is warm and we are spending the afternoon playing outside with neighbors. My favorite kind of day!
Beautiful & Soft... I love it!
SUCH a great picture Kim. I am now the owner of a Nikon 40DX. I know NOTHING but have been inspired by pictures you Denise and Diana take. Any starter hints? I am doing lots of reading and Denise has forwarded some tips. My dad just bought the camera you have. I am coveting....
Well, you have a gorgeous subject to work with, but that picture is especially wonderful.
